On Saturday the 16th of October, Bloc 11 in Collaboration with Western Cape Climbing, hosted our first ever Youth Bouldering competition.
Youth climbers aged 10 to 19 all gathered together at Bloc 11 Paarden Eiland and battled their way through 20 boulder problems. The results of this competition will go towards selecting our Provincial Team who will be chosen to compete in Nationals next year in March!
The Western Cape Youth climbing scene has grown so quickly and we are very excited to be involved in the growth of competitive climbing in South Africa as a whole. We received great support from the community for this competition and we would like to congratulate the athletes on their amazing performances!
